Helical Stairs

The spiral staircase has been a symbol in art as a path to enlightenment.

It is a magical architectural creation. Narrow and stashed away, giving us only two choices, up or down.

The first ever mention spiral staircase was part of Solomon temple, and the oldest one still standing is Roman Trojan’s Column.

The design of spiral staircase structures includes a center newel, with the stairs constructed around it.

The helical staircase is spiral too, but central newel is replaced by a small well.

During Renaissance the helical stairs were significant sculptural and elemental part of design.
