Built in the 18th century, the Bourse was converted into the Paris stock exchange in 1854.
Restored by architect Tadao Ando it has been the exhibition site of the Pinault Collection since 2021.
The Bourse features a stunning double helix staircase designed by Nicolas Mezieres. It was built to facilitate the movement of porters carrying heavy sacks of corn.
Sculptures in the rotunda:
“WAITING” by Yuan and Yu. A 164 cm high menacing model of an eagle observing from above. It is made of fiberglass, silicon and feathers.
“TURISTI” by Maurizio Cattelan. The pigeons rest on the balustrade.
